Don't know why people have to have so many negative comments. If you don't want corn feed beef don't buy it. As for Kathy's Kafe it is a great local place to have a good breakfast or lunch. Kathy and the gals really take good care of the customers. Above it was mentioned that she feed local business people and school kids. The kids have a real short lunch break so they come, order at counter, and sit at one big table. She gets them served and on there way fast.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15244825.post-5210947280737300592015-09-08T09:36:57.121-05:002015-09-08T09:36:57.121-05:00Thank you so much for commenting. You are and most definitely should be proud of your son. He has risen to the top and succeeded in becoming an EOD Technician, no easy task. He is one of the few who has decided, for whatever reason, to be part of something greater than himself. To clear the way for others and to make dangerous places safe, there is no better that that. I went to EOD School in 1990 and it changed my life forever. Thank you for supporting your son in his endeavors. Be pleasantly surprised at what happens and don't be afraid of what he tells you, it can be unnerving at times. He will go forth and do great things....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15244825.post-54922198901207506452015-06-02T19:14:34.686-05:002015-06-02T19:14:34.686-05:00--Alissa, so,so nice to receive this today. I would go visit Maui once or twice a year before he moved back to the mainland and he would always take me out to my favorite restaurant called Sarento's on the Beach. I couldn't believe his kindness. I knew it took him time to save up to bring me to such a nice place but he always did. I was lucky enough to fly to see him with my family shortly before he died. He became family to my family and would always have dinner at my folks place when we went to Hawaii. We miss him so much when we are on the island. I was thinking of him today because I get married on Maui in 2 weeks and I was looking through pictures with him so I could put one up in the area we will be having with leis to remember those that we miss so much. I wanted to see his blog and scroll back on some of his fun stories and then remembered that he decided to get rid of it along with his facebook page before he passed. That is how I came across this. Thank you so much for giving him such a nice tribute when he died a few years back. I know how much he would appreciate it. -AlissaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15244825.post-34341579509539249672015-05-09T11:25:24.248-05:002015-05-09T11:25:24.248-05:00Hey, I understand. I developed a habit of not making the bed because Miss Bella required that I do that and leave it just so. Then she was able to burrow under as far as she could get. Most times the only thing showing when a doggie does this is the snout. Not for the Queen. All you would see was possibly a small portion of her butt. She loved to be all snuggled under the covers, and when I was in bed with her, she loved to snuggle up to my bare legs. She found touch quite important, as did I. She made the best snuggle bug ever. Sorry, Barry, you know it's true. Husbands are ok for snuggling, sweet little creatures hold a special place in the snuggle factor. I tend to leave the bed unmade in case Miss Bella needs a place to snuggle her soul. She is welcome anytime. Thanks for reinforcing that not making a bed can have many reasons. I still follow Bella's lead on high pain days. Those are the days I turn on the electric blanket and snuggle with her old one.

I love you Lori, and am so proud that you are my family.

Susie O.Susie O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03614829824524290222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15244825.post-8829994996761563772015-04-21T15:32:56.400-05:002015-04-21T15:32:56.400-05:00Weird it honestly feels like my first accomplishme...Weird it honestly feels like my first accomplishment of the day too...if I don't make it I feel all out of sorts...kind of like I can't wash my body until I've brushed my teeth...

Then again it might just be the OCD in me lolBrown English Muffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618754928211481845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15244825.post-35489376412454729662014-11-07T08:51:06.708-06:002014-11-07T08:51:06.708-06:00I don't remember ever eating that.
