Not doin' so hot.

Clint and I hit the road for North Carolina last week, and a day into our trip got the news that all options to treat my sister's cancer have been exhausted: Her care has been turned over, primarily, to Hospice.

I wrote, this afternoon. Wrote, and wrote about the last 5 days.

And then I deleted it all.

How many words does it take to say, after all,

"I am buckled."

  2. I'm so sorry, Lori. Please know that if you need *anything* I will help however I can.

I also am wishing you strength and comfort and peace during this terribly painful time. I saw your FB status a while back and wondered what was up, but I had no idea how bad it really is....

  3. Hang in there. And if you or the sis need an extra hug, I think you've got a Karmic stash in the hundreds of thousands.

If y'all need anything, anything at all, just say the word.

I'll give you a glass of wine and cry with you anytime you want or need...in the meantime I am thinking of you and your sister...

  26. Really sorry to hear this Lori. I can't add much, I can only suggest that you take time to talk to her about anything other than cancer or how she's feeling. It'll help both of you rise to the challenge of what's ahead. Peace to you and your family.
