Most Important Meal of The Day...

No time for a lengthy blog, but vote day is over and I want to move on.

Do you eat breakfast?

What'd you have for breakfast today? What's your average breakfast consist of? When do you normally eat breakfast? Before you leave work, or as a midmorning snack?

Me, today: 1 piece german dark toast with smoked salmon.

We will hopefully resume more exciting blog fare soon. In the meantime, Tell Me!

  1. Well, today I had a bowl of cooked oats and a glass of milk and some OJ. Normally..I have say, yogurt with granola and milk. Or a bowl of organic cereal with milk.

  2. Weekdays, I have a smoothie: 1 frozen (and partially thawed, for blending ease) banana, 1 cup of low-fat vanilla soymilk, and a couple handfuls of other frozen fruit. Today was strawberry-mango.

Weekends, I'm all about the eggs and meat product and bread, in some combination: Fried eggs, bacon, and toast; salsa omelette, bacon, and english muffin; French toast and sausage with blackberries. Yum.

Also acceptable on Sundays is going to Radio Maria for omelette and beer bread and mimosas.

  4. Today I had 1 packet cinnamon roll flavor Quaker Oats instant oatmeal. And lots and lots of coffee. It was typical.

I prefer to skip on weekdays, but try to resist the urge. I love eggs and pancakes on Sundays.

Workdays I have a yogurt a couple hours into the day. If I'm out of it I'll stop by Espresso Royale and get the yummy Yogurt Parfait with granola and fresh strawberries. Too pricy to eat everyday tho. On weekends it's usually some eggy vegetably omelety concoction, accompanied by a beer. :)

  7. I always have to force myself to eat breakfast because the morning seems to be the only time of day I'm not hungry, but I know that if I skip it, it will wreck havoc on my metabolism. This morning I had a strawberry cheese danish poptart which I dipped in milk. I really have to bribe myself to eat at that time of day.

  8. Oh GOD! I have SUCH an adversarial relationship with food and eating.
I'm like borderline eating disorder guy. I often eat junk like pop tarts or coffee cake in the morning. I need to do a daily protein shake for breakfast!

  9. This morning - 1/2 container of peach yogurt. Typical - same or a piece of toast with juice.

However, I love good breakfast food like stuffed french toast, maple bacon, fruit salad, biscuits and gravy, etc. Weekends are the only time I have for that though.

You know, we aren't stupid. You only ask us these questions to distract us from the fact that you aren't blogging. We see through your plan dear :-)

I eat the same thing every weekday. A light multigrain English muffin topped with chunky peanut butter and dried cranberries.

On weekends I usually do a bowl of cereal with milk.

This morning,I had a banana, half an apple, and some raspberries. Some days I go for a hunk of cheese and fruit, others, steel cut oats cooked with vanilla extract, chopped nuts, raisins and some sort of fresh fruit. And sometimes, I'll have soup. Always around 8 am (I work at home) after a really really strong cuppa, of course!

I am boring. I eat a half a yogurt every morning, usually after I get to work. I always have coffee too. On Sundays I like to have a full breakfast at Merry Ann's or Taffie's.

Instant oatmeal or cereal Honey Bunches of Oats the blue box with the almonds. On the weekends breakfast is served promptly at noon when I rise and shine and it's usually the McD's dollar menu.

Generally, I eat dinner only, but munch on a few pretzels through out the day. Occassionally, I will eat a cocoa crispy cereal stick, around 10:00 a.m.. Saturdays I have a small portion of hash browns with sausage gravy, anywhere between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Of course, lots of pepsi, water and hot chocolate, as the mood strikes for the rest of the day.

  16. I always eat breakfast. My day starts early and the first thing I do is make a cup of coffee and eat one cup of dry Kashi Mighty Bites. Then, right before work, I'll have something else. The trend right now is two lightly salted rice cakes spread with sunflower seed butter and a sliced apple or pear. Sometimes it's cheese and fruit, or all-fruit jam on one slice of double-fiber toast. On weekends we usually have a full-out breakfast - coffee, eggs, potatoes, and grits - at one of our favorite breakfast joints. In the summer we usually sit out on the patio at Dunkin' Donuts and have a donut and iced coffee before hitting the yard sales and thrift shops. It's a comfortable routine.

  18. James makes me porridge and tea in the week and brings it to me in bed at about 7am. When I get to work I have marmite on a toasted bagel and that keeps me going till lunch. No snacking for me!

  19. Most days I have fruit and toast or cream of wheat and fruit. I am also trying to get used to drinking a bottle of water with breakfast instead of milk or juice. I hate it. Haha.

Every once in a blue moon I hop over to Original Pancake House for some delicious vittles. If you haven't been there, go. The breakfast is great.

  20. I have a grande Carmel Latte from Panera while rushing already late to work. That's it. On a good day I'll have a couple egg whites and coffee.

  21. I had oatmeal this morning with chopped up fresh apple in it. I have to admit, however, that I am not always that good.

I love it when our goats are milking a lot because then I have fresh yogurt with granola!

  22. I swear you and I are on some sort of wave length of thoughts with each other! I did a post all about the new high fiber HEMP bagel I've been eating the last two weeks.

I love breakfast but I hate eggs so my choices are limited. I really like toast or a bagel sometimes I'll include a banana. If I had a better metabolism I'd eat french toast everyday but for now I have it twice a year or so.

I eat breakfast at home, but my job has tons of cereal and oatmeal, plus on Wednesdays they buy us all bagels.
