I hope the new blog is therapeutic for you. I sent the link to my friend whose mother also has Alzheimer's disease.
Happy New Year gnightgirl. I shall add your new blog to my reading list. A belated Merry Christmas.
Just beautiful. Your talent for written expression is a wonderful gift. And this blog is a loving tribute to a very special woman.
lori, my memories with aunt elenor go way back before you girls were even born, my most favorite one is when uncle lee was in the navy stationed in chicago, he and aunt elenor, at her insistance took me,ME!, home with then for a couple of weeks. when uncle lee was at work she had neverending entertainment for just the two of us. my most favorite, she would sit with me on the floor and play barbie and paper dols with me. even after they brought me home, she would still come and get me every so often and take me to her family home and we would spend the day visiting with her mom. and then many years later when i had a heart attack and woke up in intensive care, to see her and teri there in my room. i mumbleded something about thank you for coming and she said, "were else would we be." i have a deep love and respect for her and will forever. and about a thousand more memories that could be a book.
