The brother a dear friend of mine was in Iraq for three years. I couldn't imagine how hard it must have been for their family. My friend once told me, "We just have to trust that he'll be okay. That's all we can do."
Thankfully he came home safely.
I, too, hope that this is your hardest day. My thoughts are with you and Brian until he comes home.
Possibly there are tough days ahead, but I'm with you, babe: May this one be as bad as any you'll encounter.
