Santa Rampage 2008

I have some beautiful Santa Rampage photos for you! The Second Annual CUSR was Saturday night, and I have to tell you: The novelty has not worn off. It was every bit as fun this year as it was last. More so, I think, as we've all had a year to coerce more friends and family into joining us for the evening.

We hit up Tumble Inn, Brass Rail, Seven Saints, Esquire, and The Blind Pig before our Grand Finale at Memphis on Main, where there was a band at the ready, and cover charge waived for all Santas.

Here's a slide show with a few highlights. There are a lot of photos with captions that read "Lori and _____." I'm sorry you have to put up with that, but I had no choice: Clint's son, Craig, Double-Dog-Dared me to go get photos of myself with everyone in the Esquire.

No self-respectin' Santa turns down a Double Dog Dare.

40 or so Santas walking into an establishment all at once really does stop traffic. We were an easy-going, fun-loving bunch, spreading cheer everywhere we went. Ho, ho, ho, it was a blast to be a part of it.

See you next year. (There are tons more photos, if you'd like to view them, click HERE.)

  6. You all look fabulous, and I'm jealous of the good time you're obviously having. We are so hip here in California that we sometimes miss the actual fun of the season. Plus, 40 people in red suits might not even turn heads here.

  7. Lar, do you think I'd waltz in with my 39 Santa Buddies, and not let people take notice? AHEM. Everyone had better line up and start sitting on our laps and telling us what they want for Christmas.

    OR ELSE!!!

Fine. I'm coming out there. Someone has to straighten out the hipsters.
