I'm weird too.

I've been tagged by Wendy. Blog assignment: To name 5 odd things about myself. Gosh, I'll see if I can narrow it down to just 5.

1. I love the smell of Vicks Vaporub. I blogged about it year ago, and how my parents made me eat it when I was a kid. I hated that, but I still love the smell of it.

2. Likewise, I love Nyquil. The Green Death Nyquil. It's the best thing about being sick.

3. Grilled cheese sandwiches MUST be served with catsup. Period. And you can't spread the catsup on the sandwich, you have to make a well on the plate and dip-and-bite.

4. I sit on my feet while I work, and often while I drive. As a result, I have a callus on the top of my foot, and have worn a hole in the fabric of my chair at work.

4a. I carry a small camera with constantly, so that if I have an emergency such as "I need a photo of my work chair so I can blog it," I will be prepared.

5. Every weekday morning before I leave the house, I repeat, outloud, "purse, phone, coffee, bag." It's a trick my friend Rob taught me a few years ago. I used to forget at least one of those things regularly, but haven't since I began the ritual.

There you are, I'm sure I'll think of a million others later.

I tag Stephen Bess, Gamera, Momo, Maladjusted, and Tangental C.

And you.

  1. How can you sit on your feet while you drive? Please let me know if you come to Florida.I like the smell of skunk,( (how weird is that?)Also pine trees.

  2. Don't your feet fall asleep?

I'm going to adopt your "purse, phone, coffee, bag" mantra. I'm notoriously bad at remembering the essentials!

  3. Grilled cheese sandwiches MUST be served with catsup.

    Would you accept ketchup?

  4. Hi Gnightgirl

    Rob had a purse??...

  5. June: Guess I neglected to mention it's usually one foot at a time. And you win Weird award for the skunk scent; they don't make candles in that scent anywhere!

    Kimber: I swear by it.

Wil: ketchup's good. But if there isn't any, just toss that sammich; it's no good.

Wil: Rob's count was watch, phone, pen...and wallet. I think.

  6. Ironically, last night we had grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. I tried to convince the 7 year old goddaughter to try the soup and said that dipping her sandwich corner in it would be like dipping it in ketchup (the kid dunks everything into either ketchup or Ranch).

    She wasn't buying it.

I know that's not a good story, but I just thought it kind of ironic and timely.

Eh. Better luck next time for a more entertaining comment.

  7. PS - I too sit on my feet at work. Constantly. Can't do it in the car with a standard shift, but I would!

  8. That reminds me of "Spectacles, testicles, wallet, watch."

Mine is "Smokes, lighter, keys, wallet, phone."

Thanks for the vote of confidence and support. You are loved tons!

  9. My first tag!

    Post to come tonight....

PS: I sit that way as well. I've decided that's why my chair always leans to the left---because I normally sit with my right leg tucked under my left leg at work.

  10. Meme accomplished! Isn't it weird how much you laugh at yourself about things all the time but can't remember a darn thing when actually asked about your quirks?

  11. Ha! The grey-on-grey that is . . . where you work. I remember it well. Really. I remember it fondly.

    Love ya!
