Here comes the Sun...

If you know me, you've probably already seen this picture. It's just too pretty not to show everyone. I grabbed a stepladder and a camera and took a road trip to this field in Decatur, Illinois, 2 summers ago. There was no taking a bad photo in this glorious place.

  1. Even for a rather jaded soul, this picture fills me with joy and happiness. It's probably one of my favorite photos of all time.

  2. This is lovely! Can I use it on my desktop?

  3. PP: Thanks, hon; it was amazing just to stand there, in that secret field.

Wendy: It's all yours, take it, I'm flattered! If you want more, I'm happy to send them to you!

  4. it looks like a painting. what a gift!

  5. That field-of-sunflowers photo is just fantastic, and I've fired off an e-mail to you asking for a BIG version (if you have one)...and possibly MORE! Assume it's OK for us to use this as wallpaper also?

THANK YOU for posting these...absolutely beautiful!

  6. SS: It WAS rather like standing in the middle of a painting; the amazing thing is that the field seemed like such a secret. I had the entire place to myself, you'd think busloads of tourists would be pulling up!

Janet: You've got mail! Let me know what you need; I'm flattered, and will send you everything on a CD if you want!
